Casandra Delgado, Via Principal
Casandra is a founding team member (2015-2016 school year) who taught 2nd grade at HOPE Christian School Via in Racine. In her time at Via Casandra has been a teacher, Dean of Students, and Dean of Instruction before stepping into her role as Principal. She is excited to lead Via and instill Christ.College.Character. into every scholar that walks through the door.
Prior to joining HOPE, Casandra was an elementary school teacher for 4 years. She received her undergrade from Carthage College and her Masters from Alverno College. She enjoys spending time outside with her husband Armando, her son Sebastian who is 8, and her two dogs Marshall and Oswald! Going for a run and spending time with Jesus is a must to keep her spirits overflowing and energy high!
Andrea Liegl, Dean of Instruction
Andrea Liegl grew up in El Salvador and moved to the United States as a child; learning was a challenge. Not knowing the language and culture made going to school tough. During this time of confusion and transition, a dedicated and loving teacher took the time to teach me to read and learn English. This teacher impacted my life and made me fall in love with education. For my undergraduate degree, I went to the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee and studied Bilingual Early Childhood Education where I found my passion in serving in the urban setting. After teaching in Milwaukee for a couple years and then after getting married I found myself in the city of Racine where I found HOPE and fell in love with our mission and my dream of bringing Jesus back into the classroom. With four teaching Kindergarten and pursuing my Graduate degree at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Leadership and Innovation; God had new plans for me to step into an amazing role of Dean of Instruction where I can support our teachers, students, and our amazing families!
Maria Sanchez, Middle School Dean
Maria is a graduate of Alverno College where she received a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. In 2009, Maria received her Special Education certification from Rockford College. Prior to coming to HOPE Via, Maria taught in Milwaukee Public Schools for 13 years as a regular education and special education teacher.
Maria demonstrates a passion for high quality academics and character development and has a strong belief that all children should receive the best quality education possible. Her passion for teaching and serving her students was exemplified in the classroom and now brings that same passion to her new role as Middle School Dean.
Katie McCarthy, School Operations Manager
Katie is a founding year team member of HOPE Christian School Via in Racine (2015-2016 school year). During founding year Katie worked to create school systems including Via’s school library and worked to connect with families by organizing a school wide coat drive. Katie is dedicated to sharing the vision and mission of Christ, College & Character to our scholars and families.
Katie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelors Degree of Arts & Sciences with a focus on Psychology & History. As an art enthusiast, Katie had the honor to found the Art Program at HOPE Via in 2017. In 2019 Katie transitioned Operations and is excited to continue to serve our scholars and families of Racine.
Norielle Johnson, Dean of Scholars Fellow
Prior to joining HOPE, Norielle served in the public service field for the state of Wisconsin.
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Peck Schools of the Arts. She received her master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University. Norielle has served in the Racine community for over 15 years as the lead dance instructor for her parent’s ministry at Reconciliation Ministries International. Because of her strong instruction and culture in dance, God opened the door for her to be able to serve as an elementary instructor for HOPE Via where she served faithfully for 2 years. Through her instruction and strong parent relationships, Norielle has shaped the lives of HOPE Via families and scholars. She believes Christ is the center of everything that she does, and college is the way to success, and building their character with the word of God.
