Casandra Delgado, Via Principal
Casandra is a founding team member (2015-2016 school year) who taught 2nd grade at HOPE Christian School Via in Racine. In her time at Via Casandra has been a teacher, Dean of Students, and Dean of Instruction before stepping into her role as Principal. She is excited to lead Via and instill Christ.College.Character. into every scholar that walks through the door.
Prior to joining HOPE, Casandra was an elementary school teacher for 4 years. She received her undergrade from Carthage College and her Masters from Alverno College. She enjoys spending time outside with her husband Armando, her son Sebastian, and her two dogs Marshall and Oswald! Going for a run and spending time with Jesus is a must to keep her spirits overflowing and energy high!
Shalan Johnson, Assistant Dean of Students
Hello! My name is Shalan Johnson, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Dean of Students at HOPE Via. Since joining Via in 2020, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of classrooms, including both elementary and middle school settings, which has deepened my understanding of the challenges and rewards of education. This experience has fueled my passion for supporting students, families, and educators as we work together to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
In my role, I am dedicated to fostering strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and ensuring that each scholar has the support they need to succeed. I believe in the importance of character development and strive to help our students not only grow academically but also personally and socially.
Outside of my work at HOPE Via, I run a nonprofit organization that empowers young girls in our community through dance and leadership programs. I am also deeply committed to my faith and enjoy spending quality time with my family.
Anjelica Johnston, Front Office Manager
My name is Anjelica Johnston. I am a dedicated Front Office Manager with a passion for nurturing the potential in every child. I firmly believe that all children are created with a purpose: to be a light for Christ in the world. With a deep commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment, I strive to ensure that children have the role models and guidance they need to grow into strong, faith-driven individuals. I am dedicated to helping set them up for success in God's Kingdom, believing that with the right foundation, every child can flourish and make a lasting impact for Christ.
Maria Sanchez, Middle School Dean
Maria is a graduate of Alverno College where she received a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. In 2009, Maria received her Special Education certification from Rockford College. Prior to coming to HOPE Via, Maria taught in Milwaukee Public Schools for 13 years as a regular education and special education teacher.
Maria demonstrates a passion for high quality academics and character development and has a strong belief that all children should receive the best quality education possible. Her passion for teaching and serving her students was exemplified in the classroom and now brings that same passion to her new role as Middle School Dean.
Andrea Sanchez, School Operations & Admissions Manager
With seven years of experience at HOPE Christian Schools, I have grown from a dedicated teaching assistant to the current School Operations and Admissions Manager. Starting in 2018 as a teaching assistant, I worked closely with students and staff in the classroom, fostering a positive learning environment. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for my transition into a leadership role, where I now manage both the operational aspects of the school and the admissions process, ensuring smooth communication and strong connections with families.
Passionate about building relationships with students and their families, I thrive on supporting the needs of our community, helping to guide both current and prospective families through their educational journey. I am deeply committed to the values of HOPE Christian Schools and take pride in being part of a team that truly cares about each child's success.
A verse that inspires me in both my personal and professional life is Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." This verse reflects my desire to bring hope, joy, and peace to everyone I work with, fostering an environment where families feel supported and empowered.
I look forward to assisting current and future families with any questions they may have and I’m eager to help make their experience at HOPE Via as enriching as possible.
